
12-Day Saharan: Akakus to Ghat
Day 1: Arrival in Tripoli—dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Flight to Ubari—visit the ancient city of Germa and the museum; overnight near the entrance to the lakes.
Day 3: Visit Umm al‑Maa and Gaberoun lakes, then head to Ramla (lake exit); overnight in that area.
Day 4: Travel to Al‑Uwaynat, meet desert vehicles, and overnight in Wadi Awis.
Days 5–8: Camp in the Akakus region, exploring the prehistoric rock art and carvings.
Day 9: Journey to Ghat, visit the old town, and overnight in a desert camp on the sand dunes.
Day 10: Morning flight back to Tripoli, evening tour of the old city, and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Day trip to Sabratha—visit the site and museum, then return to Tripoli for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12: Departure—transfer to the airport.
